Little Caesars Crazy Bread (copied from Six Sisters stuff!)

It's a little embarrassing, but we get Little Caesars Pizza way more than I'd like to admit.  I am not a huge fan of their pizza, but I can eat their Crazy Bread like there is no tomorrow!  When I came across this recipe on Mandy's Recipe Box, I couldn't wait to try it!  She has some of the best recipes, so I knew it would be great.  It didn't disappoint {and now I can make a few less runs to Little Caesars}!

Copycat Little Caesars Crazy Bread Recipe:
(Makes 16 servings)

Ingredients:
1 (10 ounce) can pizza dough
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.  Unroll dough on a clean surface.  Cut dough in half lengthwise, and then cut 8 strips vertically (making 16 small bread sticks).  Place each strip onto a lightly greased baking sheet.  Bake 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.  While bread sticks are baking, melt the butter and stir in garlic salt.  Remove bread sticks from the oven and brush on garlic butter mixture.   Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.   Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Totally Tubular Taquitos

My sister's recipe!  They are the best, and they disappear when you make them.  It's good they are super easy because I am the worst cook in the family.

Totally Tubular Taquitos
Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 35 minutes # of Servings: 8
Scramble subscriber Jill Rabach made this delicious variation on my taquitos recipe that my family thought was so tasty and fun to eat that it merited it's own spot in The Scramble archives. I like Jill's technique of spacing the taquitos out on a large baking sheet so they get extra crispy. Serve it with orange and grapefruit slices and guacamole with carrots.
Ingredients for main dish
• 1 Tbsp. coconut, canola or vegetable oil
• 1/2 yellow onion,
finely diced
• 1/2 lb. ground turkey, beef or vegetarian ground “meat” • 15 oz. vegetarian refried beans
Ingredients for side dish - Orange and Grapefruit Slices
• 2 oranges
• 2 grapefruits
Ingredients for side dish - Guacamole with carrots • 2 - 3 ripe avocados
• 1/2 lime,
juice only
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 2 Tbsp. salsa, plus additional for serving
• 1 cup shredded Cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
• 8 medium (soft taco sized) whole wheat tortillas (also called low- carb tortillas)
• 1 cup nonfat sour cream,
for serving (optional)
• 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
• 1 lb. baby carrots or large carrots

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees, and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat, parchment paper, or coat it with nonstick cooking spray.
In a nonstick skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until they are tender, 3 - 5 minutes. Add the meat and continue cooking until it is heated through (and no longer pink in the middle if using turkey or beef), 3 - 5 minutes. Add the beans and salsa and continue cooking and stirring for 1 - 2 minutes until it is heated through. Remove it from the heat.
Lay a tortilla flat on a cutting board or plate, take about 1/8 of the filling and line it down one side of the tortilla, top it with about 1 Tbsp. of cheese, and roll it up tightly. Place it seam-side down on the baking sheet. Continue with remaining tortillas. (You can refrigerate them at this point for up to 12 hours before baking them.)
Bake the taquitos for 10 - 15 minutes until they are lightly browned and crispy. (Meanwhile, slice the fruit and prepare the guacamole, if you are serving them.) Allow them to cool 5 - 10 minutes before serving. Dip them in sour cream and salsa, if desired (and guacamole, if you are serving it).

Do Ahead or Delegate: Dice the onion or fully prepare (and refrigerate) the taquitos.

Scramble Flavor Booster: Use spicy salsa and/or spicy Monterey Jack cheese. Also, drizzle some hot sauce on the taquitos before serving.

Tip: Coconut oil is becoming more widely used for cooking in US households. Not only does coconut oil possess anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, the type of saturated fats it contains are actually heart and brain-healthy.
Serve with Orange and Grapefruit Slices
Cut the oranges and grapefruits into wedges for serving.
Serve with Guacamole with carrots
To make fresh guacamole, mash the flesh of 2 - 3 avocados with about 1 Tbsp. fresh lime (or lemon) juice (1/4 - 1/2 lime or
lemon). Add 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, or to taste. To jazz up your guacamole, try adding 1 Tbsp. of minced onion and/or cilantro and/or 1 tsp. minced hot peppers. Hint: To keep the guacamole from turning brown, put the avocado pit in the center of it until you are ready to serve it. Serve it with baby carrots or carrot sticks.
